Dragoon – Medium Support Warrior
I am needed ?
Appereance : In game and in The Ambush cinematics
Veteran Protoss warriors who have been crippled or mortally wounded in combat can volunteer to continue their service to the Conclave by being transplanted into Dragoon exoskeletons. The shattered bodies of the volunteers are submerged in special liquid and housed within large, mechanical walkers. By focusing through the Khala, the fallen warriors can control the movements of the Dragoon as naturally as if they were within their former bodies.Protoss piloting the tank has on the left eye targeting and informational holodisplay. Dragoon is aproximately 2.5m tall and 4m wide. It has 4 legs which enable movement in difficult terrain or in terrain with 50° angle. The two aft legs are slightly larger. The hull has medium armour and medium shield [...]. Dragoons are equiped with phase disruptors [...] that can fire particles of antimatter encapsulated in psionic casing. Because of the psionic shield, the projectile may even penetrate lighter materials such as unprotected human body and fly through without exploding, nonetheless killing the unfortunate subject of course. Those projectiles cause large amount of damage on impact and have the range up to several kilometers. They are also partially guided by the Dragoon. With singularity charge upgrade, they are able to restructuralize the amplitude of antiparticles and fire on larger distances. The antimatter is loaded from containers. The pilot can create payload acording to the situation. Usually the amount of antiparticles varies between 2 and 250 nano grams what means yield equivalent of few houndreds grams or up to 10 kg of TNT. When firing against material targets, the projectil doesn´t need to carry matter payload, so the strength is doubled. They are very effective against armoured targets or buildings, but despite the strength, they are ineffective against small or fast targets because the shot is relatively slow. In larger groups, they can create a fire barrage, but lone Dragoon is very vulnerable against Zerglings [...].
