Considering their long reproductive rate they value life extremely, they reinforce their armies with mighty, but easily replaceable war machines and with strong psionic entities. Protoss warriors use focused psionic energy to surround themselves in impregnable energy shields. Induced psi-field generators allow even the smallest robotic machine to use a protective field. Protoss energy shields are effective at stopping all manner of physical and energy attacks, but they can be depleted during an attack. Given time, a shield will recharge to full strength, and Shield Batteries [...] can be accessed to increase the rate of this regeneration. Protoss buildings and units, to a lesser extent, draw their energy from a great psionic energy matrix that emanates from Aiur [...]. All units can be used in vacuum even without airtight suit. Protoss physiology is so advanced, that it doesn´t need one. Protoss armour are composition of several unknown elements. reinforced with minerals and they have typical gold colour. Ships are propelled by gravitic engines [...], which work in all environments. Moreover they don´t need a fuel, so Protoss ships don´t have limited flight range. Protoss weapons [...] are mainly energetic (blades, disruptors, photon blasters, pulse cannons...) that means projectiles are pure energy and the weapon is not limited by the amount of amunition. However there are few material exceptions (missiles, torpedoes...). Advanced system of manufacture and replication enables creation of powerful weapons, battlesuits, exoskeletons or gigantic ships. Protoss psionic abilities include levitation, telekinesis, psionic storms, halucinations etc. Templars can summon mighty psionic entities : Archons. Protoss Arbiters can create distorsion fields and cloak other units, open spatio-temporal rifts or even manipulate time flow.
