Selendis was a student of Artanis. In the new hierarchy now ruling the Protoss she has been elected executor: overall leader of the combined Protoss military forces. At her command, many new weapons and robotic fighting machines have been developed to help preserve Protoss lives in battle, and she is eager to take the battle to the Zerg and reclaim Aiur. Selendis represents the best and brightest of what the Protoss can be--fiercely loyal to her race's ideals, completely dedicated and focused beyond any mere human capacity [1].

Nameless Executor

Nameless Executor (the player) in episodes III and IV, became the new commander of Protoss forces after Tassadar [...]. He led the counterstrike against the Zerg on Aiur [...] after it´s occupation. Then on Aldaris [...] order, he set off to take Tassadar into custody. However Tassadar managed to persuade him, that the only way to destroy the Overmind [...] is to ally with Dark templars. Executor helped him (with Aldaris objections) to find Zeratul [...] and along with him and Tassadar returned to Aiur. But he had to fight against his brothers, who were under the guidance of the Conclave and refused to accept the return of Dark templars on Aiur. Eventually Executor managed to persuade Aldaris, when Zeratul killed two Cerebrates and finally he led the definitive assault on the Overmind. After it´s destruction, he led the Protoss in refuge on Shakuras [...], but it was under attack as well. Executor led several defensive and offensive operations and quest for retrieval of two crystals, that could help clean the Shakuras from the Zerg. He allied with Kerrigan [...] for a short time, but she betrayed the Protoss and killed Aldaris. Executor with the help of Zeratul and Artanis eventually managed to destroy all Zerg on Shakuras by using the crystals and ancient Xel´Naga temple.

Judicator Aldaris

Advisor to Koprulu Expeditionary Force

Aldaris is a strong believer in the Protoss vision of the New Beginning. He holds the virtues of communal achievement and selfless honour above all things. Aldaris is charged with watching over Tassadar´s [...] command of the expeditionary force and is quick to chastise the younger Protoss for his mistakes. Aldaris has no compunction against branding those who do not conform to Protoss dogma as heretics and traitors. Eventually he changed his mind and recognized his mistakes. He joined Executor and moved to Shakuras [...]. He was the only one, that discovered Raszagal [...] infectation, but he was not believed. During the strugle between his loyal Templars and Dark templars, he was killed by Kerrigan [...] - who was cooperating with the Protoss, at the time.

Tassadar

Age : sacrifised himself to destroy the Overmind [...] in age of 356

High Templar Executor of the Koprulu Expedition

Tassadar exemplifies the growing rift within Protoss society. Born into a new generation that looks ahead to a dynamic future, Tassadar is frustrated by the stoic view that his elders hold of the past. Tassadar feels that the unbending nature of the Protoss and their inability to re-evaluate ancient traditions will be the doom of his race. Fascinated by the power and mysticism of the renegade Dark Templar caste, Tassadar hopes to find some way to bridge the gap between these exiles and his masters. Eventually he succeeded. He refused to destroy terran colonies full of defenceless civilians only because the Zerg infestation. He was withdrew from his function, and was long considered heretic and traitor. He met James Raynor [...] and they both engaged in first interracial friendship. He found Dark templars and brought them back to Aiur [...], so they can help destroy the Overmind. Tassadar participated in the final battle over Aiur, where he sacrifised himself onboard the Gantrithor to destroy the Overmind once and for all. He was oficially pardoned just shortly before the last final assault. His name is now written in Protoss history next to names like Adun [...] or Khas [...].

Praetor Fenix

Fenix rose up through the Templar ranks alongside his friend Tassadar [...]. He is both cunning and powerful and has fought against the enemies of the Protoss in countless battles. Capable of strong empathy and tremendous rage, Fenix has long been one of Tassadarís greatest supporters. Fenix is distrustful of Aldaris [...] and the Judicator caste, and thus relies only upon the honour of his fellow Templar warriors and his own unparalleled skill in the theater of battle. He was helping Executor in battles on Aiur [...] and he was killed during the defence of Antioch, after he was left here just with the small group. However, he was resurrected and transplanted into the Dragoon [...] exoskeleton to continue fight against the Zerg. After destruction of the Overmind [...] and Protoss exodus on Shakuras [...], Fenix stayed with Raynor [...] on Aiur and destroyed the warp gate, so it can´t fall under Zerg control. After that, they shortly allied themselves with Kerrigan [...] to help her destroy UED [...] and new Overmind. But after Korhal [...] liberation Kerrigan betrayed them and attacked unprepared terran and protoss forces. Praetor Fenix died definitely in defence of his base.

Prelate Zeratul

Praetor of the Dark Templar

Like all of his dark brethren, Zeratul was banished from the Protoss Homeworld long ago for refusing to submit his will to the ëcommunal gloryí of the Khala. Because of this, Zeratul harbours a deep seated hatred for the Protoss Conclave and the Judicator caste who were responsible for his wrongful exile. Zeratul is proud and noble, but is marked by a dark and tragic aura. Although he is secretive and calculating, Zeratul is extremely honourable and would gladly risk everything to defend his long-lost homeworld of Aiur [...]. Zeratul greatly participated on destruction of the Overmind [...] on Aiur, eradication of the Zerg on Shakuras [...] and he personally killed the new Overmind on Char.

Praetor Artanis

High templar, Praetor of the Protoss Defense Forces

Artanis is the youngest Protoss to achieve the coveted rank of Praetor. Despite his youth an relative lack of experience, he is a bold and dynamic leader. Although Artanis was a strong believer of the former Conclave and the destiny of the Protoss, he still harbors a deep respect and admiration for Tassadar [...] and the Tribal unification for which he fought. Artanis hopes to become as great a hero as Tassadar. Artanis fought in battles on Shakuras [...], he led assault force rsponsible for breaking the UED [...] blockade over Braxis [...] and together with Zeratul [...], he had big share in cleaning of Shakuras from the Zerg. After unsuccessful attack against Kerrigan [...] on Char, he withdrew the remians of Protoss forces back to Shakuras.

Matriarch Raszagal

Matriarch of the Dark Templar Tribes of Shakuras [...]

As one of the eldest living Protoss, Raszagal has ruled over her Dark Templar Tribes for nearly five hundred years. Imbued with tremendous psychic powers, she was once believed to possess one of the most powerful minds in the galaxy. But now, after selflessly shepherding her Tribe for so many long centuries, Raszagal's control over her powers has begun to slip. Though Raszagal has kept her Tribes secluded upon the planet Shakuras, she has always sought to help the Protoss of Aiur [...] in whatever secret ways she could. Despite her antipathy for the Protoss Conclave, Raszagal still fervently hopes that all of the progeny of her distinguished species will one day be reunited. Raszagal was inficated by Kerrigan [...] and played a significant role in hers vicious plans. Eventually, Zeratul [...] rather killed her, so she can´t suffer under Kerrigan control.

Ulrezaj

Leader of the renegade Dark templar group

Dark templar who refused the idea of the Protoss reunion and led a rebellion against the new order. He was captured by Executor [...] on Aiur [...] and he was on trial for murders and treason on Shakuras [...], but he was set free by Alan Schezar [...]. He stole one of the sacred Khaydarin crystals, managed to replicate it and by using it he managed to control Zerg broods. With Schezar´s help he placed EMP device on the orbit of Shakuras and tried to expel Aiur templars from Shakuras, but he was stopped by Executor. Ulrezaj and his three cohorts merged into the Dark archon [...] and escaped [2].

Adun

Leader of Protoss Templar

Adun was assigned the task to destroy all Dark tamplars, but he could not bring themselves to slaughter their wayward brethren. Instead, the idealistic Adun attempted to hide the Rogue Tribes away from the sight of the Conclave and thereby he disobeyed the whill of Judicators. There is not much known about his next destiny, but the fact is, that he is one of the most important characters in Protoss history. Some say he died a hero, defending his people and blazing like a star. Others say he was a tragic victim of the fear and prejudice that had sprung up between the dark templar and the rest of the Protoss people. Still others say that he burned out, struggling to contain psionic energies far beyond what his body could contain. We do know that some time after his death, a prophecy arose that one day he would return to the Protoss people [1].

Khas

The mystic, whose true name has been forgotten in the annals of history, was eventually named Khas or the who brings order. Khas, having studied the archaic, forbidden teachings of the Xel´Naga, unearthed ancient, monolithic artifacts known as the Khaydarin Crystals [...]. Khas was able to channel the primal energies of the Crystals through himself, allowing him to access the primordial, psychic bond of his race. Khas developed a radical system of psychic progression that he hoped would discipline the new generation and keep them from repeating the tragic mistakes of their ancestors. His theory, known as the Khala, or "Path of Ascension", called all Protoss to forsake their own whims and strive to reunify their once mighty, communal race. The greatest hope of Khas was that the Khala would instill a new sense of essence and vitality within the Protoss race. He dedicated his life to teaching other Protoss to access their latent psionic link. Thanks to his efforts, the Protoss people turned more and more to the discipline of the Khala until they had put the Aeon of Strife behind them. Growing to a ripe old age, Khas passed away peacefully, and his spirit became one with the communal Protoss consciousness that he had helped reestablish [1].
