Massive Behemoth class battlecruisers are almost 700m long flying fortresses with four giant thrusters. They are equiped with several ATA/ATS burst laser batteries [...] and thick Neosteel plating. Laser batteries consists of duel or quad 25-100mm impulse laser cannons. Each battlecruiser is different but the basic type carries 6 main batteries placed around the hull and several smaller defensive batteries. They power is devastating, but they have problems to hit small and fast target such as Interceptors [...] or Wraiths [...]. Nevertheless, they are the most powerful Terran ships, highly effective against ground units, bases or larger ships. The most fearfull weapon is recently developed yamato cannon. It uses electro-magnetic field to focus the energy of small nuclear blast to coherent energy beam. however, teh cannon needs incredible amount of energy which is taken from the central Colossus reactor [...] and therefor the cannon can be used only once in certain time. The power of the beam is amazing. It´s particulary effective against enemy capital ships or bases, which can be destroyed with a single blast. The cruiser can carry even nuclear weapons [...]. The battlecruiser has very specific hull shape : the main hull contains aft thrusters, slightly curved wings with warp engines and few laser batteries on the sides. On the forward there is wide section, that resembles a hammer-headed shark. This section contains other laser batteries, hangars and yamato cannon mouth. The bridge may be here or on the aft side of the ship, above the engines. Many generals use battlecruisers as their mobile command centers during deep space missions. In large cargo space can carry ground forces and hangars can house fighters or dropships. The cruiser can fly in atmosphere and it even has quite good maneouvre capabilities. But if it is not equiped with landing gear, it can´t land on the surface. So the connection between the ship and the surface is usually ensured by dropships. Standard crew is 200, but the ship can carry up to 1500 people. The crew consist mainly of technicians, soldiers and officers.

Starcruisers are basically modified battlecruisers. They serve as flagships mostly for Terran superpowers. The size of the ship is the same, but they are much more armoured and they have greater firepower. Although they can´t replace two standard battlecruiser, they raises respect. Known starcruisers are Norad II, Norad III, Aleksander and Hyperion. First two were destroyed, UED Aleksander is missing and presumed destroyed. Ares class starcruiser (such as Norad II) has doubled armament (quad batteries instead of dual) and thicker plating. Hyperion is Vengeance class. It has two additional standard laser batteries and doubled plating.

The Behemoth predecessor. At the time of Confederacy fall, there were still few in service e.g. Thunderchild or Merrimack, which was rebuild to be a prison ship. As well as Behemoth, it has warp engines.[1]
