CMC powered combat suit

This armour is designed for front line engagements. The basic version combines depleted uranium (80%) and titanium (20%) or neosteel. Inner side of the suite is filled with FLEXON Resin composites. The wearer is almost invincible by a small firearm. The battlesut is cca 210 cm tall and it´s weight is over a ton [1]. It´s manufactured in different sizes and it´s fully optimalized for exposure to vacuum and provide NBC (nuclear/biological/chemical) shielding for operation in deep space and hostile environments. Trained marine is able to get in the suit in 3 minutes. The suit can be sealed and due to the recyclation it´s possible to survive in it for seven days [2].

The suit has it´s own life support, air filter, light compensation in visor, transmitter and CMC fusion reactor [...] Spider [1]. Energy maintains appropriate environment inside the suite and at the same time makes movement easier. Servo motors provides marine with greater strength and speed. The suite is equipped with several spot lights (two below the visor and two on the shoulder). Boots have their own stabilization computers keeping them in straight situation and magnetic system enabling movement on structures in zero gravity environment. However the suite does not contain thrusters so movement in open space is hazardous. The average speed of a soldier in this suit is 26 km/h and maximum speed is cca 35 km/h. Further vital part of the suite is CMC "HAITE"(Head-to-toe Artifical Intelligence Tactical Engine) system [1].

The suite could be equipped with Stimpacks [...]. Features of recent versions are noise silencer and heat damper. There are also sensors and spare magazines in the shoulders. The armour is equipped with several safe mechanisms, that are able to seal damaged areas and keep the soldier alive even when he loses his hand [2]. There are several varinats of this armour. The marine use basic type CMC-300 or advanced CMC-400. UED [...] marines use enhanced CMC-400A. Firebats carry CMC-660 with additional heat protection. Medics use modified version of CMC-500.

Stimpacks

Drug - a powerful mixture of synthetic adrenaline and endorphins coupled with a powerful psychotropic aggression amplifier. When activated, the StimPack provides the user with greatly increased speed and reflexes. The effect fades away by the time, but the soldier can take more doses. If there is a medic [...] nearby, he can neutralize all negative side effects. Side effects including insomnia, weight loss, tremors, grand mal seizures, mania/hypomania, paranoiac hallucinations, impotence severe internal hemorrhaging and cerebral deterioration have all been declared nominal and well within Confederate acceptable safety margins.

Cloaking

Terrans use cloaking technology based on light bending principle. The cloaking enables units to move unseen through enemy lines and provides tactical advantage in battle. However the technology is efficient only when used by units that are able to conceal other indicia of their presence, as trained Ghosts [...], or by units, that are small and fast, as Wraith [...]. The sustaining of the cloaking field requires stable energy supply, so it is not possible to sustain it for a long time. Units designed for sensor reconnaissance and detection are able to reveal cloaked units.

Fusion reactor

Fusion reactor is the main Terran power source. It´s used to power combat battlesuits, vehicles, ships and buildings. They are build in many sizes. The known types sorted according to the size/output : Moebius (powering Ghost technologies [...]), Spider (powering CMC [...] suits), Caduceus (powering CMC and additional medic [...] systems), Apollo (fighters), Colossus a Titan (large ships).

Thrusters

Standard propulsion system for ships, hovercrafts or buildings moving in atmosphere or with sublight speeds in space. The missile weapon systems are also equipped with thrusters. SCV [...] has thrusters for easier movement and infantry (reapers [...] can be equipped with jetpacks. Vulture [...] is equipped with ion thrusters for faster movement. The most of the ships is equipped with adjustable stabilization thrusters for better movement in atmosphere. Buildings have very strong thruster engines, so that they are able to lift up and fly. The fuel is dependant on the usage, but very often it´s Vespene gas.

Warp

Warp is Terran technology for superlight travel. Due to the size of the device it´s only possible to mount them on larger ships (cruisers, stations, cargoship). Fighters are not equipped with the Warp engine. In dependance on the level of technology the ship with a warp engine can fly tens or hundreds of light years per day.

Warp sustainer

UED [...] device that enables smaller ships to travel with superlight velocities even if their are not docked inside larger ships. Ship equipped with this device can share warp field created by another ship and engage warp. However, it does not have the ability to engage warp on it´s own. This device is smaller, than warp engine, but still to large to be mounted on the fighters.

PSI emitter

Transplanar Psionic Waveform Emitter - amplify and transmit psionic wave with immense power, so they can reach even distant worlds. However a subject with psionic abilities is necessary. Confederacy [...] used psi emitters to lure the Zerg where they want them. Arcturus Mengsk [...] later used the emitters to eliminate Confederate army on planets Antiga [...] and Tarsonis [...]. When UED [...] turned on the PSI disrupter [...], Mengsk helped Kerrigan [...] to regain control over limited portion of Zerg by lending her a psionic emitter in exchange for her help to liberate Korhal [...] from the UED occupation.

PSI disrupter

PSI disrupter was developed by the Confederacy [...]. It disrupts the communication among the Zerg. If it´s active, it is virtually impossible for Zerg commanders to coordinate their swarms. On maximum ouput it can affect several star systems. However it has so high energy consumption, it has to be powered by aditional power plants. Mengsk [...] never managed to find it. Originally it was hidden on Tarsonis [...] and discoverd by the UED [...]. Admiral DuGalle [...] ordered to destroy it, but viceadmiral Stukov [...] realized it´s real value, disobeyed the order and moved the disrupter to Braxis [...], for what he was later condemned to death by Admiral DuGalle. Duran [...] tried to destroy it, but he failed and the disrupter helped UED in conquering the Zerg in Koprulu sector, before Kerrigan [...] managed to destroy it.

PSI screen

Confederate [...] technology for protecting commanders against Ghosts [...] abilities. The device jams psionic abilities and Ghost is not able to read mind of the user or attack him psionically. Moreover it allows the user to inflict psionic shocks on telepaths in vicinity and thus granting their obedience. However the device is not suitable for prolonged usage. The recommended time is seven hours in a day at the most. Long-term usage leads to brain damage. [3]

Psi inhibitors are implanted into the brains of the Ghosts [...] to constrain their dangerous abilities.
