Heavily armoured terran dropships are the main way of unit transport. The ship is designed to atmospherical or space flight. It is cca 40m long and 20m wide. The central hull has a two men cockpit in the front, that continues with connection tunnel and in the back there are small wings. Under the ship there is large cargo space, that is able to load up to 16 soldiers, 2 Goliaths [...], tank [...] or equivalent cargo with weigth up to 90 tons. There are two thrusters on each wing. The larger pair, further from the hull is adjustable and enables precize manoeuvring above the terrain. The ship has a key role in army deployment, in fast assaults or delivering reinforcements. Dropship is equipped with special airlocks, so it´s able to unload the cargo, infantry or vehicles very quickly. Practically during few seconds, while hovering few centimeters above the ground, the whole cargo can be unloaded and the ship can retreat from the hazardeous situation. Loading is also very quick, so the brave dropship pilots saved soldiers asses for a cuple of times. Dropship has a landing gear, but usually it just hovers above the ground. The ship is not capable of super light travel and therefor is transported by cargoships [...] or battlecruisers [...] among the systems. Usually, dropships are not equipped with any weaponry, so they can load maximum weigth.

Assault droship is more modern and it´s designed to transport troops into the hostile areas. It´s equipped with dual cannons mounted in the front, on the back and on both sides. They cover 360° area below the ship so that they can clear the landing area from smaller enemy units, ensuring better starting position for dropped units. However it carry very few amunition and the cannons are mounted on the bottom of the ship, so they can´t be used effectively against aerial targets. Assault dropship can deal heavy damage to Zerglings [...], Hydralisks [...] or terran infantry, but it´s not able to damage armoured targets.
